Daniel Negreanu, infamous pro poker player just attended his most successful WSOP event up to date. In his latest blog post titled “Making Every Day Count” he talks about how important it is to have a plan for every single day before you hit the poker table. He describes how he makes a list of key strategy tips he wants to follow even though he does not play daily.
From the 32 events that he has played in, even though he did not win any, he managed to pick up nine money finishes worth over $8,5 million. He is also number 4 in the contest for the WSOP player of the year. This is his second year in a row and the third time in his career when he is nominated for such an honour.
His number one skill which he takes pride in is staying confident and positive. He also tried something new by creating a WSOP journal where he daily wrote out all his thoughts relating to the event. Given that he has played so many types of games he also tries writing down key strategy points which could give him an edge over his opposition. This is the part that gets him most excited every WSOP, the fact that he gets to play all sorts of other games.
