Seneca Square in Niagara, Canada, is seeing the return of a well-loved event that includes some daring action. The free outdoor adventure shows were introduced during a press conference on Wednesday July 1st. The Seneca Square was originally the preferred spot for Nik Wallenda’s practice sessions three years prior.
The event was funded and managed by a nearby casino. Casino spokesperson Tonia Lewis declared that “We’re taking the excitement outside” referring specifically to today’s land-based casinos needing to put their entertainment offerings into high gear. She also stated that “You will be in awe in a few moments”, as the show was just about to commence.
The three highly enjoyable shows premier that same evening on Third Street and featured two world-renowned daredevils Noe Espania and Adilson Fernandes. The amazing acrobats performed risky actions while on their weapon of choice: either a Skywheel or a Wheel of Death. The Wheel of Death is particularly complex and dangerous as it is a huge figure-eight shaped metal piece.
The shows will be playing live every day of the summer from Wednesday to Sunday and three times a day starting with 6pm. The two daredevils will then be seen doing jumps and tricks on motorcycles and Espanas wife, Verona, will also join the team as well as a third mysterious rider for the Motorcycle Thunderdome act.
Blair Farrington, famous Las Vegas promoter is in charge of producing and leading the shows to completion. “Even in Las Vegas, gaming is now not the only draw. You have to do other things to attract and satisfy your customers” he says.
